Blake and Mortimer

I don't know why but I was recently thinking about this comic book that I was reading as a kid.
The adventure of Blake and Mortimer and how much I enjoyed it. The stories were always a mix of sci fi and detective work. Most stories happens during WW2 or early fifties.
There are multiples things that I enjoy about these books. First of, the design of vehicle and other machines.

Second the action poses of the characters are fantastic, dynamic but not exaggerated, they sometimes make me think of propaganda posters during the war.
I also love that stereotypical arch enemy, Olrik. that always escapes and resurface in an other part of the world
.
Olrik

I got some volume from my old book shelf and start reading them again. One thing I totally forgot is the amount of text!! Every single frame as a text explaining what you see.

I'm not complaining at all, the text is so well written, but I was so surprised. a book like this will have no success today. But look at that!:

We've always seen movie made from books and news story, then from american super heroes; we recently seen movies made from video game concept and soon some movies from european comic books. I would love to see someone make movies from the "blake and mortimer" stories.
respecting some of the design and 50's style.
